Effective Monday March 23rd, 2020 we wish to implement the following changes to enable us to continue providing a specialised Obstetric, Gynaecology and Infertility ultrasound service during the current global COVID 19 health pandemic. We need to implement these changes to reduce the risk of exposure to our staff and all patients attending the practice.
We would prefer that only the patient undergoing the examination attend the practice. Partners are welcome but will be advised to come into the examination room for only a short period to minimise the risk of transmission of COVID 19 to the sonographer and vice versa. At this time we advise that no children or extended family will be allowed to attend the examination.
Dr Raymond will review the results immediately to issue a report for your referring doctor. Dr Raymond will see all patients with abnormal or high risk obstetric results or if patients have been referred for a 2nd opinion.
Dr Raymond will not see patients with normal results. A reduced fee schedule will apply effective immediately and is available on the website.
All patients referred for gynaecological scans or procedures such as Hy Co Sy or insertion of Mirena IUCDs will continue to see Dr Raymond as per current practice.
This protocol will be reviewed regularly as new COVID 19 information and medical recommendations become available.
